Many people put too much effort and focus on robots instead of human visitor. Yes, optimizing for search engine is important, but the most important visitor is not robots but human visitor. You must balance your website to satisfy both type of visitor, humans and robots.
This video explain how to add balance to your website so that you can have your website optimized both for robots and humans. This video explain 3 balance categories:
- Symmetrical Balance. Elements are laid out evenly on the page so that (for example) if you have a very heavy object on the left side of the screen, you balance it out on the right hand side.
- Asymmetrical Balance. These designs can work if you place a large object at the centerline of the design and a smaller object at a distance.
- Discordant Balance. When done correctly, discordant balance (also known as off-balance) creates a sense of motion. Discordant balance should only be used when your design is intended to make people feel uncomfortable.
